Caesars Palace
Caesars Palace is one of the world’s most well-known casinos and has served as the backdrop for countless casino-themed films over time, such as Ocean’s Eleven. Additionally, other films set in Vegas such as Diamonds Are Forever and Vegas Vacation have used its iconic location.
Casino, featuring Robert De Niro and Sharon Stone as part of its fast-paced tale of mob empire building. Although often criticized, Casino remains one of the most acclaimed casino-themed movies ever produced.
The Hangover is an entertaining film showcasing Las Vegas with all of its glitter and glamour, depicting a group of friends who awake in a hotel without any memory of what happened the previous evening. Caesar’s Palace pyramid makes an appearance, as does The Venetian, also featured in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, based on Hunter S Thompson’s 1971 journalistic novel.
The Bellagio
The Fountains of Bellagio have long been an icon in Las Vegas and an increasingly popular film location. Most notably, they served as the backdrop of Ken Jeong’s coked-up parachute scene from The Hangover movies, and featured prominently in Casino by Martin Scorsese – his film depicting mob control of Las Vegas using Riviera as its primary casino location – now turned museum – but Scorsese had to use his imagination when designing other parts of his movie set.
